Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Logistics is the process of planning, implementing and controlling the flow and storage of goods and services and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption. Supply chain management provides supervision and direction for the various parts of the distribution system including production scheduling and inventory control, transportation, warehousing, wholesaling, retailing and brokerage.

State of Logistics: The Canadian Report 2008
Supply Chain & Logistics Association Canada (SCL) and Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) partnered with Industry Canada to undertake the first Canadian State of Logistics Report. This strategic information can be used to identify best practices, develop benchmarks, justify investments and innovation decisions, monitor industry performance, and become more competitive in global value-chains.
